Pulitzer prize-winning composer Ellen Taaffe Zwilich gives us a beautiful quintet for alto saxophone and string quartet, perfect for serious saxophonists looking to expand their recital repertoire. Zwilich's Quintet for Alto Saxophone and String Quartet was commissioned by a consortium comprised of the Arizona Friends of Chamber Music, the Chamber Music Society of Detroit, Fontana Chamber Arts, and Michigan State University. The full score and solo saxophone part are provided in this publication, and individual string quartet parts can be obtained separately by custom print from Merion Music (144-40513P). For advanced players.
