The Singing Double Bass, Vol. 2

Masterpieces arranged for double bass and piano

Editor: Jeffrey Bradetch

Translated from German:

The double bass has a powerful and penetrating voice as a solo instrument. This is due to its ability to "sing" . This collection of lyrical masterpieces offers bassists the opportunity to show off their creative skills and explore the tonal possibilities of the double bass.
The collection features both original works and transcriptions that are extremely effective on the double bass, e.g. Hispanic or Czech literature as well as Baroque music alongside works by Chopin and Rossini.
The music is suitable for both amateurs and professionals and enriches the repertoire with works that touch the heart of both the artist and the listener.
The edition contains two piano parts: one for the orchestral tuning and one for the solo tuning.
