The famous Seitz Student Concertos are a rite of passage for advancing violinists. Concerto No. 2 is a full-fledged concerto in three movements, with occasional flashes of student technique, a satisfying experience for pupil and audience. Laine's transcription for viola and piano is designed to bring the same sense of accomplishment to student violists.
