Petot: Follow the Drinking Gourd

This African American folk song has gained renewed resonance in recent years. Its lyrics (not included) provide a map to freedom, describing how to journey northward to escape slavery by following the Big Dipper -- the "Drinking Gourd" -- in the night sky.
