Like its inspiring title, QUIET BEACH is a beautiful escape whose surface of apparent calm evokes powerful yet balanced energy, at once calming and invigorating. The 5½-minute work explores pianistic textures in creating a musical form that might be felt as peaceful-exhilarating-peaceful. A captivating live performance by the composer is available here.
