Complete Mozart Libretti Volume 1 (Castel)

The Libretti of Mozart's Completed Operas
In Two Volumes
By Nico Castel

The reader might be aware of a slight title variation of the Mozart, as contrasted with the Verdi and Puccini libretti. Professor Castel did not wish to include Mozart's uncompleted operas and thought the title, The Complete Mozart Libretti would be misleading to the reader.

Volume I contains: Bastien und Bastienne; La Clemenza di Tito; Così fan Tutte; Don Giovanni; Die Entführung aus dem Serail; La Finta Giardiniera; and La Finta Semplice.

It is a brilliant solution to a problem that has often caused frayed tempers and wasted time and occasionally unintended laughter. The user of the books will soon acquire the 'savoir faire' (know-how), and feel totally 'gemütlich' (comfortable) when performing in a foreign language..."
