This organ method brings together the interpretive and technical experience of organ students coming from the piano, right from the start. The technical foundations of organ playing are therefore developed first through organ literature of the 19th and 20th centuries. Only then follows the 18th century, the more distant world from a student's point of view.

Questions of style and interpretation appear in the context of their own period and are cultivated alongside the student's own musical imagination. Practical guidance on practising connects the ear, physical self-awareness and memory. So that students grow early into artistic responsibility for a whole work, the method works with unabridged compositions of widely varying character.
