Hewitt-Jones: Hungarian Rhapsody for Intermediate String

Hungarian Rhapsody for Intermediate String Quartet (Score & Parts) ||An exciting new string quartet suitable for Grade 5/6 players, beautifully playable (as always with the works of Anita Hewitt-Jones).The strong opening theme makes a feature of the augmented second interval so characteristic of Hungarian folk music, and the more lyrical major theme in 7/8 accompanied by pizzicato arpeggio figurationsmakes a telling contrast. The ABABA form covers a wide spectrum of keys and instrumental colours, making it as interesting to listen to as it is to play. ||
