A Madrigal Opera by Philip Glass is scored for violin (viola) and six voices. It was written in 1979 and conceived as an abstract music theater work with no specifically prescribed theatrical content, apart from a clear emotional shape. This is a single part for one player, utilizing both violin and viola.
