Henle Horizons
Horizons is the new imprint from G. Henle Verlag. Alongside the familiar blue Urtext editions, the warm orange Horizons covers open up new perspectives: discoveries and fresh additions to the repertoire, arrangements of well-known works for alternative scorings, studies for orchestral instruments, and pedagogically oriented editions.
Every Horizons edition is made to the standard that has defined Henle for more than 75 years: a thoroughly researched, carefully prepared musical text in an edition designed and produced for performers, with Henle engraving, music paper, cover board and binding throughout.
The first editions arrive in October 2026, covering piano, strings, and string chamber music with and without piano. Highlights include Hummel's Piano Sonata in F-sharp minor op. 81 and Shai Wosner's arrangement of Beethoven's "Pastoral" Symphony for piano trio, with contributions from artists including Raphaela Gromes, Jean-Guihen Queyras, Alexandre Tharaud, Frank Peter Zimmermann and Tabea Zimmermann. Orchestral studies for all string instruments are planned for 2027, with editions for every classical instrument to follow.
