Rihm 6 Preludes Piano Solo

The Klavierstücke (UE036020) and Preludes both appear on a 2004 3-CD boxed set Wolfgang Rihm Klavierwerke 1966-2000, as recorded by Udo Falkner for Telos. Rihm's music defies categorization - reviewers struggle to define these works with catch-phrases such as "early modernism, post-modernism, post-Darmstadt, post-serialist, a kind of utopian newness, post- Cagean spartanist." In the end, one blogger summed up with "Rihm is Rihm!" For advanced pianists.
