A virtuoso masterwork for the piano written in 1949 and first published in 1952 by Mercury Music Corp. It is now brought back into print again for the 1981 International American Music Piano Competition co-sponsored by Carnegie Hall and The Rockefeller Foundation as part of the competition's required repertory of American works under 15 minutes composed between 1900 and 1960.
