"Similar to Arnold Schoenberg's Accompanying Music to a Film Scene, the theme of my piano piece is the threat of unspoken dangers and fears. But in contrast to Schoenberg's orchestral work, which was written independently in an expressionist musical language, only stereotypical patterns of the commercial music that we know from countless film industry productions are used here. The linking of this music with the memory of typical situations of horror in crime films enables the listener to conjure up fragmentary scenes: the result is the imagination of private horror fantasies.
It is also worth mentioning that there is a metronome beating at 51 tempo. The steady ticking increases the rhythmic tension that is essential for the musical atmosphere of the piece. But at the same time, when the relentless object sometimes tilts almost independently, ghostly, it triggers unexpected, villainous emotions in the pianist."
