Haydn: Piano Sonatas, Volume 2

While his influence on the development of the symphony might come first to mind, Joseph Haydn's contribution to the development of the classical sonata was no less notable. These always-attractive works were often composed for students to play and are imbued with the composer's natural wit and human rationalism. This is the second volume in the classic Edition Peters set of Haydn Sonatas edited by Carl Adolf Martienssen.
