Advanced Scale Studies is intended to provide players—students, teachers and young professionals—with an organized method of practicing a scale system that includes a complete set of scales, arpeggios, double-stops and chromatic scales in three and four octaves. With included practice recommendations and instructions, Advanced Scale Studies takes the scale routine to a higher level of successful preparation for advanced repertoire and virtuosic playing, which requires free movement on the entire fingerboard and abilities to perform different patterns in a fast tempo.
